Dear APO Mu,
During our time
in the early sixties, our tambayan is in the old Jose Rizal College building which then houses the MLQU School of Engineering
and Architecture, a few hundred meters away from the main building. There was still no building in that now old Ocampo compound
which now is the new building. And yes, our sister frat, MU ALPHA PHI SORORITY was organized then and Susan Oblefias-Pagdangana
n was one of its organizers, if I am not mistaken..
We
used to hold our final initiation at the Ja-Le beach resort in Paranaque which is now a portion of the Coastal Highway . We
held our meeting (bambuhan) after the 930 pm classes at the former SEA building. If you still remember the first APO bulletin
board at the main building, my name is inscribed there as one of the APO officers at the time. Our adviser then is Professor
Monzon (I forgot his first name, Agapito I guess) an instructor in higher math subjects then.
I
have not handled a paddle since then, so that now I handle only rosary beads everyday and attend mass almost daily, and of
course SERVICE in the Lord.
Whatever
faith you brothers AND SISTERS may be practicing.
I
just want to speak my piece and hopefully clear any doubts as to how I got in to our frat. I was initiated into APO in 1962
and our president then was Brod Alex Villanueva and our master initiator was Dimalawang Domato who incidentally was one of
my classmates in some subjects (btw, I belonged to the Chemical Engineering Dept.). A few of my batchmates whose names I can
still recall are Rolly Baluyot + (he has since passed away and was our past national president for several years) and Arsenio
Calvario among others. Brod Bienvenido Juele, our one-armed brother if I remember right, and Roger Ordonez were two of those
who initiated us. It was Bantuas “Bert” Menor from Marawi City , a chartered member, a good friend and a boardmate
of mine in Laperal Apartment, who recruited me into joining the frat.
I
was never a “chartered” member and I definitely underwent the ritual.
And
one thing definite is I don’t appreciate the phrase “ tatakan mo na lang ng question mark”, for all you
guys know, maybe you were not yet even born when some of us got into our fraternity.

I was one of the first neophytes initiated by MLQUSEA chartered members under the Presidency of Rafael Palma, and others
i.e Alex Villanueva, Esting Jaramillo, Bienvenido Juele Jr. Rogelio Ordonez, etc.. After the initiation, I was almost rushed
to the hospital. Pinahirapan ako ni Mario ???? (nakalimutan yong last name).

ko si Bert menor at Dimalawang Jimmy Domato mga initiated sa mu taga marawi city, lanao del sur katulad ko. Si bert menor
nakapagtrabaho dito sa Saudi late 1980s pero umuwi na rin after a couple of year connected siya ngayon sa government agency
sa marawi city. Si jimmy domato ay nasa marawi city rin pero hindi ko alam kung saan siya
connected ngayon. Dati sa BPW siya nag work. They are both Engrs.

Jose Alma Jose,--- isa rin siya sa Mu na pinadala sa PASONANCA PARK sa Boy Scout Jamboree, nauna siya ka Bro. Dimalawang--
-taong 1960. Ang Pangalan niya ay si Bro. Ricarido Saturay-- siya ay naging professor sa Luzonian University

tapos siya ng MLQU-- kilala siya ng mga taga CHI Chapter sa LU-- at siya rin nagbuhat sa SAUDI. Nasa LU ako noong bago mag MLaw si Diktaduryang
Marcos, affiliated ako sa CHI.
Tungkol sa MU ALPHA PHI ito ang Sorority ng MU Chapter, tulad ng iba pang
chapter sila ay mayroon ding Sariling Sorority---kaya kahit na naiba pa ang batas hinggil sa pagkilala sa mga Sis.---APO sister
parin ang turing namin sa kanila. Ang alam ko noong panahong iyon si Bro. Alex Villanueva-- sa kaniya ko binili ang Special
PIN ng APO.
Si Bro. Ric ay nasa Lucena City ngayon---siya
ay retired na. Kaya tanungin ninyo ang mga Brother taong 1970-1972 kumuha ng ENGINEERING COURSE at ilang beses na naging instructor
nila sa MATH at trigonometry, pag naunder kaniya kailangan mag-aral ka talaga, Gusto niya lahat ay may alam bago ka makapasa.---
